FPAW Training

Each month we provide one hour of unique training related to foster care issues. We are able to provide parents with monthly certification to help meet the NC criteria for licensed foster homes. Our association is a place to learn the special skills needed to parent the children in foster care, children with increasingly difficult personal problems and demands. We host guest speakers, licensed professionals as well as experienced foster parents.

Our trainings strengthen foster parenting skills and helps to provide a high quality of care in foster homes. Together training and support help to sustain foster placements and promotes stability in placement and decreases disruptions in foster homes.
